  • GSF Débit and Culvert Dimension Calculation

    Only available in French.

    This training allows you to calculate the flow rate of a culvert using the GSF Débit extension. Attendees will learn to delimit a basin, to define the longest path traveled by the drop of water and to specify the different parameters for the flow calculation.

    3-hour Training

    Objectives:
    • Understand how the extension works;
    • Define the numerical data necessary for the calculation;
    • Scan the basin layer and drop;
    • Configure the extension;
    • Specify parameters for flow calculation;
    • Generate the result report and interpret the results;
    • Learn the list of exceptions and know the solutions provided;
    • Experiment with concrete cases for basins with low elevation where the concentration of contour lines is located at the head of the basin.

  • GSFNav Android and Forest Data Inventory Collecting

    This training combines two applications for collecting forest inventory. GSF Sondage will be used for the creation of plots, the preparation of maps and the consultation of inventories while GSFNav Android will allow inventory data to be entered in the field. Attendees will learn how to create their own maps and transfer their data to an Android device.

    • Understand the different steps to prepare the commercial work inventory;
    • Prepare a sampling plan;
    • Create a map to capture inventory in the field with GSFNAV Android;
    • Enter inventory from GSFNAV Android;
    • Import inventory data;
    • Consult inventory results for commercial work;
    • Export results to a predefined Excel file;
    • Customize an existing template for compiling results;
    • Group databases.

    This training allows you to explore the possibilities offered by the GSF GIS Private Forest Plan and Prescription (PPFP) module, for the creation and management of development plans and for the preparation of prescriptions and execution reports.

    • Define the parameters for first use (working directory, import, etc.);
    • Import or enter the list of owners;
    • Know the steps to develop a development plan;
    • Prepare data and create a map for the forest inventory;
    • Learn the procedure for using GSFNAV Android to perform inventory;
    • Transfer inventory data;
    • Consult and generate the development plan, prescriptions and execution reports.
